My first BP and Trouble with Shedding, help please

I'm not sure if she's actually okay or not, the pic I have in my sig I took this morning so this is parts of her new skin. She shed last night, started around 9pm stayed up until around Midnight, she took frequent breaks in this time, and she still isn't completely finished shedding. The humidity has been between 70 and 85 during this. Around 6pm yesterday before the shed me and my boyfriend put her in the bath tub with luke warm water to help her stretch out so to say and help her shed process. She got in the water for maybe 30 seconds to see what it was about, she's a baby still, then she wanted out of the water so we dried her well and put her back under her log. She shedded in pieces, badly. She's got most of it off but I would like her to complete it without our help. We read a few different places that said if they shed in pieces you can spray hot water on them just to loosen more skin a little bit, which we've done that a couple times, but I think she still has a few pieces left on her, and I'm not completely sure about her head. We were trying to look at the eye caps to see if those came off but I'm not really sure what it's supposed to look like when they're off, and also about the tail, she has a dry piece at the tip which we can get that later, I just wanna know if she's okay and if we're doing everything right. I want to make her as comfortable as we can so she doesn't stress out. And also, how soon will we be able to handle her after the shed, bc I know they're fussy during blue/shed, is there a certain limit we should wait until she's comfortable again?
Thank you so much for reading, and any suggestions are well appreciated!

I'd say give her one more day to try to get the rest off herself. If she doesn't get it off during that time, then the day after (because you want to give her a little break) you can try to have her soak a little in some lukewarm water (none of them like soaking when they're young, don't worry about it) and then let her run through a moist towel and try to gently rub it off.

If you're looking for eyecaps, they'll just look like one smooth, circular scale where the eye was. Usually you'll be able to identify an eyecap when you see one.

As for her shedding in pieces, don't worry about it. My boy's first shed was pretty bad. He shed until just past his eyes and he stopped, and I had to get it all off for him. Since then he's had nothing but one-piece sheds. The first shed is stressful, but everyone gets through it fine. As for handling, you can handle right away after she's shed if you want, it's perfectly fine. She shouldn't be cranky after she's got most of it off.

Okay cool. Yeah she just came out and is outside her log balled up, I see the pieces hanging I just wanna go pull em off so bad lol. I think this is probably her 2nd or 3rd shed. I'm not sure exactly how old she is, I'll have to ask my friend who I got her from. But I know she's pretty young so I figured she's probably still not used to how to get it all off correctly, like to kinda get the feel for it, or if it just comes naturally like a dog swimming lol. But yeah she's really pretty, I just cant wait for her to finish. She was really playful the night we got her, just 4 days ago and she was in blue completely, eyes foggy and skin really dull, I figured she would have wanted to be left alone but she was really friendly, then the day after she got pissy lol. But I'll keep watching her, we're going to clean the cage in a couple hours to get the skins out. What do you think would be the best bedding for her, we have aspen right now the wood looking flakes, I heard a piece of astroturf is good for the shed, but just to have something better than aspen, something easier to clean and not so messy? I've read a few different things but I know it's better to get the owners point of view

Well I prefer cypress/coconut husk or paper towels for bedding. Aspen is fine, it's all a matter of taste. Astroturf or repti-carpet (it's essentially the same thing) is alright, though I don't like it personally because you'll always have to have two pieces and switch them out when one is being cleaned, coupled with the fact that they'll harbor germs after a while and they'll have to be thrown out and replaced.

For something easy to clean and that makes no mess, I'd say go for paper towel because that way if there are just a couple segments that are dirty, you remove the dirty segments and replace them with clean ones. It's cheap and easy, although it's not as pretty to look at

This is what I do.... wet a towel with warm water. Squeeze most of it out. Place towel on top of snake... come back in a hour. Presto!
