Is this just the right size of tub?

Hey, just wondering is this tub too big for her? The smaller one is better? Thanks for your help!

I think It will be fine if you stick one or two hides in there

I would start in the smaller tub. Do you know how much the snake weighs? I keep my ball pythons in a 15quart tub until they are about 500g then I move them to a 32quart tub.

Re: Is this just the right size of tub?

I have raised several hatchlings this season in 28qt tubs with only a hide and water bottle.

2010 July hatch now weighing in at 650 grams
2010 Aug. hatch now weighing in at 575 grams.

Given a quiet place to sit that's not in a high traffic area they do just fine in tubs like that.
A couple of vines and a stick to crawl on wouldn't hurt though

As long as it eats the tub should work but just for reference:

    0-150 - 6 qt tub
    151-400 - 16 qt tub
    401-1000 grams - 28 qt
    1000+ grams - 41 qt

    Not exact but a reference
