You could try closing any doors off in the room he was in and sprinkle flour on the floor to see tracks. This is how I found one of my escapees. Also try lifting up any couches they sometimes like to curl up in the springs. Generally my escapees haven't gone too far. I've had 2 escape in 6 years. And I've found them rather close to their cages squished into something. I hope you find your cinny good luck!

    Re: Aaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!! Loose snake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at other threads about lost snakes, but typically, they'll seek out dark, small spaces to hide. I'd be more worried about one of the dogs or cats finding him before you do.

I'm not sure where you have him normally in your house, but some common places to look are:

    Under the hot water tank/heater
    Under the stove
    In shoes
    Look near his rack/tub/tank

If he got out, he probably went to the first place he could find, then curled up and hid. They aren't roamers except at night. You can try to set a trap in a few days if you don't find him

Take a 2-liter bottle and cut off the top 1/3 with the spout. Put a mouse in the deep part of the jug, then turn the top 1/3 inside out and put it in the fat part so the spout is facing inward. Then you can make a little one-way door where the snake can slide through, get the mouse, but the door closes behind him

There are probably threads on here with pics.

    Good luck!!
I've been there and know what you're going through

Crawl around on the floor and try to see any little nook he may have gotten into. They usually don't go very far from where they escaped from.. look everywhere!

    Re: Aaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!! Loose snake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i had a BP get out many years ago when i was still living at home.. and my dad would go to sleep every night saying " if that snake gets in my bed "IT"S DEAD".. well about a week went by and im in the bed sleeping and i hear " hey come get your SNAKE" so i go in my dads bathroom and my BP is up on the toilet and had been drinking or about to drink.. after that i never used a tank/screen lid ever again. and i've noticed 9/10 of all escaped snakes are from an aquarium with a cheap lid that they stack books on or something thinking they wont get out..

my little mojo girl just got out the other day. I ended up finding her smushed between the wall and the dresser about 10' from her tub.. like everyone says look in tight places and start close to the tub/tank and work your way out. Good Luck!

My het pied hid in the closet for two weeks. Turned up in the living room one morning, knocking things off of tables and trying to climb the windows.

The talcum powder/flour along the walls trick actually works pretty well. So does leaving out water bowls (also with flour around them, so you know if they've been visited.)
