Question Ball python not really hiding anymore "/ ??

So my ball python is not really hiding that much anymore she has been rather active the pass two days she is usually in her hide and just relaxing but lately she has not been hiding like she just roams the enclosure all day even in the day time but mostly at night is when she is really active. There are points when she will just stop for like 10-30 min's and just lay there on the substrate just relaxing,Should i be worried?

Re: Ball python not really hiding anymore "/ ??

I am having the same issue with my male. He used to hide all the time and then stopped. His hides were snug fitting and he wore them as hats.
When he stopped hiding I thought I needed to increase the size of the hide. I did and he stayed in his hides more often. Anymore he just hangs out all the time or he hides under the paper substrate I have. Hopefully someone can help us. Good Luck!

yea try feeding it. check the temperature gradient from the warm to cool side of the tank( should in the range of 90-80 give or take a degree or two). do u have an identical hide spot on each end of the tank?

If your not having any feeding issues I would not worry about it sometimes they like to cruise around there is nothing wrong with that. If you are having feeding issues then there might be a problem.

Nope she has the best feeding response ever in fact i just feed her!My temps are 92f on the warm side and i have two hides on the warm side one is further away from the heat source so she can pick whether she wants 92f or 88f on the warm side and on my cool side it always stay 75-82f never going higher than 82f and lower than 75f so idk maybe she just likes her enclosure lol because she is really healthhy!

Then don't worry about her she is just doing what she wants to do. All animals have different personalities if she is healthy and feeding and husbandry is right she is fine.
