    A little bit of blood?

My black pastel George has turned into quite the Casanova with his piebald girlfriend. Which is great!

But when I separated them this evening for their weekly feedings, I found several drops of blood around George's vent. I didn't interrupt a lock or anything, but they have been frolicking pretty heavily in there this last week...

Should I be worried about the blood? I was afraid to pop him.

George ate a rat afterward. He's got the week off anyway while I let my het pied male at the piebald girl. I could run George to the vet.... do you think there's reason to worry, or is this just normal wear and tear from too much enthusiastic breeding?

    Anybody?

I mean, there's sometimes a few drops of blood around the vent when some of my snakes shed. But there's also the OH MY GOD BLOOD WHY ARE YOU BLEEDING GEORGE DID YOU HURT YOUR BOY PARTS OH MY GOD aspect.

Seems normal...although I don't recall seeing the blood on their vents...I often see the little trails around the enclosure...If he's still breeding/feeding/shedding normally I wouldn't worry about it...

blood trails are pretty common so I hear and just tonight I separated my pastel and normal and there were one or two small drops of blood near her vent. it could have very well been from the male though, I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: A little bit of blood?

It is almost always the female that leaves the blood trails. This is usually a good sign. It might actually be from the female durring breeding.
