Quick question. I'm trying to determine the sex of my "expected to be" male... He was breeding with the female, or so I was to believe, however, it's been a while, and I don't feel any follicles, and had someone that was more experienced, feel for them as well, in the female.

So it makes me wonder, the pastel, are you male? He's currently shedding, and one of my local breeders (as local as it gets) said he'd be in my area around 5. I know he's in a meeting right now for something, and I wouldn't want him to drive all the way to my place (the other side of town) to do probing, if it's not able to be done.

My question is simple. Is it safe to subject an adult BP to probing while in the "blue" stage of shedding?
