    Question Rasing Humidity In Viv's Better ..tips please !

    I have a baby 7 month old ball python, any tips on how i can keep the humidity in the viv better? my corn snake has never had a problem with shedding, but this lil guy has, im trying now to help em get his shed off.. but can someone help me out with tips please

    I had this same problem. There are threads all over the forum about this to help out. I dont know what kinda set up you are using but the best combo to help humidity is get rid of the heat lamp (if you have one) use two uth's if needed. then use coconut husk for substrate. that stuff works miracles. If the humidity is still not around 50%, get a hand towel, wet it and ring it out so its just damp and put it over the screen top. I can easily keep my humidity around 90-95% (if i wanted to) with this set up.

    Yes, coco does wonders with a screen lid, I still mix about 50% / 50% aspen fine shaved with coco. Only have to freshen it up every five days while they are out for feedings.

    thng I didnt like about jungle bedding, if I remember right it has sand mixed in with it
