    Lack of Activity

So I fed my ball python about a week ago and got him a new hide.

He ate the mouse no problem, although I think he might have bit himself in the process. Afterwards when I put him in his tank with the new hide, he was exploring quite a bit.

But for the past week and a half he's stayed in the new hide.

I'm wondering if he might be cold or digesting. I think it's probably one of the two, since I know digestion can take up to a week but I just don't really know how long is too long.

That's what BP do they spend most of their time (around 80%) hiding, and if they are about to shed they hide even more

Deborah's right, their lives revolve around hiding haha

Everything sounds normal to me, looks like he found a new favorite hide

    Re: Lack of Activity

Thanks! I was just a bit worried, since before when his enclosure was a bit more barren he used to wander around a bit and I was worried I was overwhelming him with the new set up.

His new hide is this super cool hollowed rock thing which takes up a lot of the space, plus I got a fake plant.

If you wanted a snake that was always active and visible, you picked the wrong one!!!

Everything sounds right to me, he SHOULD be hiding a lot.
