Pretty snake and no those tubs are not too large in my opinion.
I have 200 gram hold overs in 28qt tubs in my rack and they are doing AWESOME

I use those sizes for my sub-adults. You don't have to go smaller if they eat fine for you. I was merely defending you and saying that they could be kept in smaller tubs. I put my hatchlings and ~juveniles in the shoebox sized tubs.

If your friend saw this picture she would probably freak. If I remember right he was 150 grams in this pic-it was when I first got him. It looks really small, but when they are rarely out of the hide it's not really a big deal, IMO. I've had really good luck with using the 6qt tubs. When I picked up 6 babies last year all but one ate the very first time, the one that didn't was in shed. 3 of the 6 were under 100 grams. I'm not sure what my next tub size is...I'm thinking it's probably a sweater tub it's about double the size of the 6qt. I also moved my '09 mojave back into one of these tubs and he started eating for me again after a month of not eating. He's roughly 350 grams, hopefully more now that he's eaten a few times. So if someone tells you that small tubs are bad, I don't know why the mojo started eating again a week after I moved him into that tub. He didn't have a hide though, there was no room for one! He's back in the larger tub and has eaten once in there...hopefully he keeps it up. He's a real headache!
