I just got my first BP this past Sunday and already love her to pieces. I find myself waiting for her to come out of the hide just to get a look. I'm planning on leaving her alone as much as possible for the first week or so but I was told by the person who sold her to me that she hadn't eaten in 5 days so I didn't want to let her go hungry. I thawed out a mouse and got the weirdest response. Instead of striking at it she threw her body towards it and pinned it against her tank. She had a pretty decent grip so i released the prey but she sat there for about 5 minutes then just left it alone and went to the hide. My question is when should I try and offer her something again? I have experience with larger constrictors that my father and I kept but they ate live and I never had a problem with refusals.
