    Feeding got messed up

I tried feeding my bp a f/t rat pup and the rat slipped from the tongs and fell in the water bowl, everytime i go to take out the rat my bp bites at me so i dont know what to do :/ should i just suck it up and take a bite if it happens or wait till he goes in his hide? also with the rat falling into the water should i change it?

Umm you used tongs, so get the rat out with tongs.

I would just take the rat out, you wont get bit, just grab it and heat it up again so he can eat it.

you don't man up, a bite from a ball python isn't that bad. but how fast they move gives you a reaction to pull your hand back. when this happens, your snake can come out of this missing some teeth. you should cover him like stated above or put something between the snake and the rat so you can get it out. tongs are a good tool to have around, mine are 18 inches. don

Indeed, cover the snake and remove the water bowl, dry off rat, change water as well, feed snake, replace water bowl.
