    Wishin' I was fishin'

So I've got the winter blues. It's cold, and as much as I enjoy most winter sports, I'm getting worn down.

To cheer myself up I was sifting through my fishing and herping photos, dreaming of warm sunny summer days, and thought i'd post a couple of my favorite shots. Forgive me if I've posted some of these before, I forget which I have and which I haven't.

    carp:

    ling cod:

HUGE shark ate my samon fish:

    redfish w/mom:

    northern pike:

muskies, one w/my fishing buddy that I netted:

My girl's first "real" fish caught last spring:

And some non-piscatorial catches on the water (hand-caught)

    Canadian tadpole:

huge common snapper, also up in Canada:

Catch and release for all the above except the ling (and the samson head)

Won't be long before I start hitting the water again. I have to finish out the deer season next week.

    Fishing offshore in Florida

    Started out like this

An hour later I had to put the rod between my legs because I could no longer feel my arms

Finally see what is on my line

About an hour and a half later I get him to the boat

    And release

Had a great day fishing for Kings

Finally caught one of the guys who was leaving me with kingfish heads
