    Re: pied x normal question

Correct, pied x normal= 100% het pied’s (which look like normal’s however they are carriers of the recessive pied gene)
    Currently have
    2.3 pastel's
    0.1 spider
    0.1 normal
    1.1 100% het albino's
1.0 Albino ( he will live at work but i get to take care of him)
    1.0 Cinnamon
    1.0 Fire

    Re: pied x normal question

nope... if only it were that easy

"When dealing with Het x Normal and Het x Het breeding pairs, all the Normal-looking offspring have a chance of being Het, but you can’t tell by looking whether or not it has the gene. In a Het x Normal pairing…each offspring has a statistical 50% chance of carrying the gene, so it is called “50% Het”. In a Het x Het pairing, all normal babies have a 66% chance of carrying the recessive gene and that’s where the “66% Het” term comes from"

meaning all the babies have a CHANCE of carring the gene but not all will.
a pied to a normal will make 50% het pieds. not ALL of the babies will carry the gene.

you have a CHANCE of making a 100% het pied but not ALL of the babies WILL be 100% pieds.
