Het albino
What is 50% het? Does that mean it may or may not be het?
And 100% het means it has the 1 recessive gene?
And I've heard to truly prove it's a het you need a 'super' form of it (ie: showing albino) is it possible to breed two het albinos to get an albino?

50% het means that u buy a normal that has 50% chance of carrying the gene or not.
100% het means it's carrying gene and when bred to another het or visual morph you will get albinos in this case

The % means the chance it carries the recessive gene.
100% = Carries the recessive gene
66% = 66% chance it carries the gene
50% = 50% chance it carries the gene

It still makes me think really hard of buying a non-visual.

You do not need a visual to prove a het. Two hets can produce a visual. It's when your trying to prove a 50% or 66% that most people would say it's better to breed to a visual. That way even if you don't get a visual you know the babies are 100% het. But as it's been explained, the % is only what the odds say the chance is that it "is" a het.

It makes me nervous about buying hets, but if you buy from someone you trust, it's perfectly safe. I'm really choosy about who I buy from even if they are visual morphs. I want to know that I'm getting is what I'm paying for!
To the OP, if you ever see PH Albino (or any recessive morph) that mean Possible Het Albino, usually 50%, but could also be 66% het.

Re: Het albino
I got my first BP yesterday at the Pomona Reptile expo and bought a .1 Normal het albino. No paper work so I won't know for sure if they(DM Exotics) lied to me or not, but I like the snakes patten.
