Re: need help
Are you saying you have two in one tank or that you made two tanks and have one in each of the two tanks you made? If you have two in one tank, I wouldn't continue to house them together, males can overbreed females and they can fight. One will also be dominant and fight the other for the warmth and the food.
That said, you can look into getting an infrared light and leave it on all the time. We had to do that after moving because our new apartment is just colder than the ambient temps at our old apartment. There are also ceramic heaters you can look into but you need the open wire domes with ceramic heaters. And you're right, beardies can't feel belly heat and will let their bellies, and feet burn without even knowing it. And are you saying you want to leave the lights off all the time? They do need the UV... But if you don't want any light at night, I'd go with a ceramic heat "bulb" set up.

I would say the red light or the blue heat light. They also have a ceramic....not sure what type of light that gives off. I also have a blankey that mine is wrapped in at night. However we keep our house at 77-78 for our reptiles so we really don't use anything at night. sorry
