    When to change tubs...

    When do u guys go to a bigger tub..i have a 300 gram male in a 15qt tub seems tight in there with 2 hides..im afraid if i take out the one hide on the cool side he wont go to the cool side and always stay on the hot side..my next size tub up is a 28qt tub is that to big for him yet at 300 grams..

    I usually upgrade from 12 to 28 at around 900 grams. If you upgrade now you risk the snake going off feed. I usually keep hatchlings in 6 qt until about 300 grams

    It is not too big if it doesn't stress out the snake. You could attempt it, and put him back in the smaller one if need be.

    I personally do not use 15 quart tubs. Mine go from 6 quarts to either 28 or 32 quart tubs.
