New Tat

I've been wanting a second tattoo for a long while now, and have recently been drawing up some ideas, but nothing really clicked. One night last week, I told myself I would not go to sleep until I came up with something, and here it is. I really wanted the artist to do her thing on it, so I just gave her a rough sketch and some details, plus some books to use for reference. These $5 cards also helped a lot for drawing the Gaboon viper.



And I know BPs don't have fangs like that But I wanted the piece a little dark and bloody, so she used some creative license and I was happy with it, from the original sketch to the final work.

The tattoo has a couple of different meanings for me, namely my internal unrest due to some anger issues, and also a reference to the ouroboros, the symbol of a snake or a dragon that is eating its own tail (mostly taken to represent regeneration).

Not exactly my taste in a tattoo, but the artist did a very nice job. It looks to be well done, and I think that it is great that you have a meaning behind it. Congrats

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the honest feedback from all. I've always loved tats, but have always had to put something else before them when it comes time to pay for the work. This time I said, screw it, I'm going for it, as I've been really getting into it for the past year or so.

Already thinking of a third one...
