how to make a cheap blond ball

i want to make something similar in color to the crystal ball or the toffee ball. Pattern is not important. However, my budget is very limited. I basically can't afford any two-gene snakes, so I can't take any shortcuts. I want suggestions on how to make the poor-man's (woman's) blond snake! I was thinking lesser x vanilla, but want to know if anyone has other ideas. thanks!

Buy a female mojo this year and buy a special male after 3 years.
Since the special is codom, prices will drop in 3 years.

There are some pics of one midway down this page ... Awesome looking snakes

I think Matti's suggestion is a good one -- to go for what you really like (crystal), you'll need a few years to raise up the female anyway, and in that time the special males should probably drop to a more affordable price range.

Another morph you might like is the vanilla cream (vanilla x fire) ... They are very light with black eyes:

eh i'm not too partial to the vanilla fire due to the "dirtiness"...but that would make some BRUTAL babies no doubt. seems like lessers brighten up and lighten regular/darker morphs...but doesnt seem like it for that lesser crystal.

Re: how to make a cheap blond ball

The Lesser Crystal in that thread is not made with the "first" line of Specials (The Baker line), Brian of BHB hatched it out from a totally different line. Marshall Van Thorre produced white snakes from breeding his line of Special to a Lesser and his line is very similar to the Baker line. So most likely what will happen is a Baker line Special bred to a Lesser will make a white snake. Heres a thread that shows the Lesser/Special http://reptileradio.net/reptileradio...ad.php?t=24710
Just didn't want you thinking if you bred a Lesser to a Special you would get a Crystal.
    Hope that all makes sense

Oooooooh, I see, thank you for the clarification! Looks like according to the thread you posted, Brian isn't even sure what that snake (that I posted) actually is ..?

Very very good to know that the lesser/special would probably be a white snake ... I have a "dinker" female I'm trying to prove out using a lesser male; if I was expecting that BHB animal I might've been mighty confused if she did prove out!
