Hello all
I decided to join here after my wife told me how much information is available and how nice everyone is. I appreciate a well moderated forum. I also appreciate people who are willing to get their hands dirty instead of paying someone else to do it. I was a professional cabinet maker until the economy fell, now I am back at the University annoying those in the herpetology department. I will spend most of my time in the DIY and related threads.
My wife is nanna and she has one ball python and nine corn snakes. I will be looking to get my own this next year, but have not decided which way I want to go.

Re: Hello all
Thanks all for the warm welcome. I have already built one enclosure, but was unaware at the time. It started life as a tv cabinet. Wife wants to take it over. I actually built a whole setup when I was still a cabinet maker. It was a full wall enclosure about 25 foot wide. I don't remember how many individual enclosures it contained, but it had routed in areas for heat tape, cased boxes for humidity and heat controls and weighed a lot.

Welcome to the forum. I am also a custom cabinet maker and find it real helpfull when it comes to caging. It combines two of my passions, herps and woodworking. I just built a Huge cage for our adult burm and have a few stacked cages going together for some friends of mine in the hobby
