    Normal, or --?

I'm fairly new to ball pythons, so I am still pretty confused how you tell certain morphs from others. To me enchis, paintballs, spectors, and yellowbellies look pretty similar to normals, with some differences, but not always entirely obvious differences.

Well, my boyfriend has a male ball python that he is trying to sell for a very low price. I think the snake is quite interesting looking. I was curious whether it is A) just a normal, B) a normal with some unusual traits, or C) something other than a normal.

These pictures are pretty bad and I apologize in advance, but they are all I have available at the moment.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Also the washed out color above is a trick of the camera. The following pics are more color accurate. The snake has golden overtones to the usual normal coloration.

*Edit: Sorry I can't find any belly shots to show but I am fairly certain this snake does NOT have a clean belly. I am guessing he is probably just an interesting looking normal, but better to check anyway. : P

I agree, telling morphs apart can be difficult!
But all signs point that this guy is a Normal (most likely captive bred). He does have a unique pattern!
Pretty snake, hope you find him a great home!

Okay, awesome, thanks guys. That's what I wanted to know. I'm relieved I don't have to wrestle him from the sale. I love reduced bp's but have no use for a normal male het nothing!

Haha, it's not my snake, but I'm sure it will go to a good home. If it were mine, I'd keep it as a pet just the same. (and maybe just in case...)

    Good looking Normal.

Where in TN are you? I'm looking for a male for the future. I love the idea of Dinking.

    Re: Normal, or --?

Am I the only one who thinks it needs to be fed more? If I can see saggy skin and outlines of where the ribs are (Spine really) then it needs more food.

On the topic though: Reduced pattern normal, but still very much a normal.

I can assure you this snake is offered a fresh killed rat each week. In the winter he tends to go off food, but he is always offered it. Besides it is not my snake, so that is not entirely my business haha.

Edit: Also, I just looked at the photos, and the quality is really not good enough to see any ribs or saggy skin. Haha. I have held this snake and noticed no health problems.
