    Cutting 3 inch FlexWatt

I ordered some 3 inch flexwatt and it was cut through the black strips. The black strips run at a diagonal and I always thought you were not supposed to cut through them. So do I have to cut at a diagonal between the black strips or can I cut straight and go through a black strip?

only cut through the clear part, the black parts are the heating elements, if you cut through them, the one you cut through won't work and it will also be exposed at the end, leaving the possibility of electrocution, so yea, cut the clear part.

what if i just put electrical tape on the end? Beacase if you flip the flexwatt over, the black part runs underneath the metal strip, so it has to get cut there.
