    Question about Locks

I have been trying to breed my Spider female and my pastel male for several weeks now and today I finally saw my first locks with them. I woke up this morning and found them locked I dont know how long they were locked over night but they stopped less then an hour after I found them. Then they locked again for maybe 2 hours I guess my question is I know some ball pythons lock for 12 hours or 24 hours mine seem to only lock for a short period of time does this mean my male has no stamina lol. Is it ok that they only lock for a couple hours?

in my research mostly because I can only speak of my first lock from experience that occurred a few days ago, a lock can take place anywhere between 4-24 hours on average. I would say just keep giving them time to rest and then pair them again and hope for more locks, ones bound to get the job done

As in humans, it doesnt always take a long hookup to make a baby,

Sometimes once is all it takes,

    Good luck!

    Re: Question about Locks

I have one male that will only lock for a couple hours at most and I have another male that will lock for 24+ hours. Both have produced eggs and offspring. I think it just depends on the male.
