A few slightly different BP shots

Nothing too wild, but not quite just your standard "here's a snake!" shot (which is usually what I'm actually trying to go for, but end up taking pictures like these instead ...)

I wanted to get a picture of the contrast between a few different morphs with a similar color scheme -- in this case, yellow. Not the most amazing compositions, but kind of interesting contrast between the morphs ...

And some closeups ... Super pastel female, Raver:

Pewter male, Lone Gunner (yes, I like giving my males silly names):

Enchi female, Forcythia (with Zed the bumblebee in background):

    Thanks for looking!

Ok I'm picky... I like good Photography ... i work on Konica-Minolta Poland for 2 years...

1 When u using bulp make sure that You set white balance first.. is too much yellow hue here...

1a. If You Can regulate Your flash strength try same pictures with -0.7 -1 Ev or even more in flash strength just to slight feel with light. (dont afraid of experimenting comfort of having Digital camera is You can repeat and repeat and repeat)

2 Blue background is not my favorite for snake.. You messing to much with natural colors because of that... I You want to show Your snakes in best "light" Use white or Black Background

    3. On positive note.. like close ups especially pastel.

    Keep Up with tryin

Thanks Aes -- all of that is great except that the major problem is that my camera is OLD, and seems to be slowly breaking, and these were the only pictures that came out that weren't 100% yellow! Even as it was, they still came out with quite a bit too much yellow balance, but most of the pictures look like I took them into Photoshop and just cranked all of the yellow levels to the max -- right out of the camera. (I tried fixing them but then they just looked too 'Shopped ...)

Step one to taking better pics will be to get a new camera ..... (It is also only a 4 MP, so if I try to enlarge the pictures they get very grainy.)

These actually were without any flash. What I'm planning to do next shoot (ideally, with a non-broken camera) is to set up a light tent w/ some sort of diffuser.

I was using the blue thing (it's a Snuggie ) to try and bring out the yellow of the snakes, but you're right, it does come out a bit too distracting.

Thanks for the comments though!! And the albino is a het Joliff axanthic, so he is out of a banded Joliff line. I looked for a looooong time to find an albino male that I liked as much as that one ...

Awesome collection. But my favorite, rather favorites are the pewter, enchi and banded albino.
