    How much to feed?

    Hey Friends, how's everyone doing?

It has been a long time since I last posted on the forums, my BP has grown much since then, and I've started to wonder how much i should feed her at this stage. I measured her last shed and shes exactly at the 3 foot mark (maybe a lil more) and I feed her 2 large mice (the artic mice brand) every 7 days. the other day i tried a small rat and she ate it no problem. I haven't taken her to a vet in a while and i don't know how much she weighs, so i was wondering if i'm over feeding or underfeeding her?

I like the small rat idea Don't think the 2 mice are enough. Go by the golden rule of thumb...Feed her a rat the same sie or slightly larger than the largest part of her body every 7 days and you can't go wrong.

    1) switch to rats all together
    2) feed a rat that is 15% of the snakes weight (or the widest part of the snake) until it hits medium rats, and just continue to feed meds the rest of it's life

Mice norm weight about 30 grams so you are feeding about 60 grams to your snake, some stay with small rats (60 grams) other stay with med rats (90-100 grams) for the adult snakes life time either or is fine. If it's growing well 2 mice is fine, if you want it thicker (because you feel it's too skinny and no worries about breeding) add another mouse.
