Great lookin tegu, Grits! Is he a rescue?

I rescued one a few years back; tame as hell, just awesome awesome. Lost him to bone cancer. I miss him greatly. Enjoy your tegu man!

He was a rescue. The last owner is in the military and was being transfered to goverment houseing where exotics are not allowed.

We took him in kinda quick so I am still building his cage. Its gonna be 36" x 72'' x 24'' - 28"

    What a beautiful big boy!
Love Tegus, never seen one in person though.
My work has two water monitors though. A younger one, and Peaches, who is a little over 4ft. Very much dog-like lizards.
