Re: who's using moss in there terrariums?

I have had crap luck with moss. It needs to stay moist 24/7 which means either a misting system or constant contact with water. My moss has died off even in my GTP tank with 70-90% humidity.

If you're trying to increase humidity I think you'd be better off taking more drastic measures. E.g., add a humid hide, cover a portion of the top of the cage, spray more often, change heat sources, etc.

oh lord i cannot tell you in short detail everything i've tried to get humidity in there when i had the mulch...and THAT was supposed to be good for humidity too. i did the wet towel on top of the cage, moistening the mulch ever 2-3 hours, aluminum foil on top of the cage, water dish over the warm spot and i have a new u.t.h going so...yeah.
i have 2 medium water dishes in there so maybe i can stuff one of them with moss and fill it with water so it has the constant contact with water...hmmm.
oi! all i know is i gotta do SOMETHING...
i'm so close to just going and buying a humidifier and hooking it up directly to the terrarium with some kind of hose so that the mist coming out of it goes right into the terrarium, lol.

Doesn't your tank have the holes in the 4 corners running from top to bottom???
