    Is this a Black Pastel and New Member!

    Hi!, first of all I'm a new member of the forum so hi all I have enjoyed a lot of reading info, tips and tutorials from you guys and also i have been watching some pictures and videos...

    But now i just buy a male Black Pastel ball python or thats what they said to me, so I'm just looking forward to get some little help andsee if someone of you guys can help me out to see if its a real Black Pastel because it looks so Nominal for me.

    Yes, don't worry, it's black pastel. It's not the darkest example I've ever seen, and I guess it could be a very dark cinnamon... but it's definitely one of those two morphs. And I'm leaning towards black pastel rather than cinnamon, even ignoring that it was supposed to be one.

    I'd say black pastel.. just not the best example.

    Some of the Liesen-line black pastels I've seen are the most obvious. But most black pastels are pretty subtle:





    First one is my female. Second one is my male (courting my pied). He's doesn't have the black-lace look my female does, but he's got the nice black back.

    I think they're both pretty nice examples! But frankly, when I take them out in public, most people never give them a second look.... Except that once in a while someone will say that they look "a bit menacing". (Which is ridiculous--Octavia is sugar sweet, and George is big, dumb, and goofy.)
