getting ready for my new girl

i've pretty much got everything i need squared away and taken care of, just waiting to put my girl in her new home which will happen monday night after we go to pick her up, but i was wondering...
we'll be picking her up on monday and her regular feeding days are wednesdays. she'll only have been here for 2 days before that wednesday comes up. should i offer her some food to see if she eats or should i wait for her to settle in before offering anything? from what i'm told she's a rather feisty eater (eats when she's shedding as well) so i dont see her having a problem but i dont want to stress her out. if i need to wait how long do i wait for before i offer her something? 1 week...2?
i know i cant handle her for 2 days after she eats to let her digest.
i also know i cant handle her when she's shedding. i've got everything figured out as to what day of the week i'll feed which i'll be keeping consistant with the feeding day she's on now and the days i'll handle her for only 15 minutes, just to get her used to me.
i've got the temps pretty much where they need to be and will have to get an accurite so i can monitor the humidity.
i know the humidity needs to be 50-60 % and bumped up to 70% when she's shedding.
    is there anything i'm forgetting?

Re: getting ready for my new girl

I picked up one of my baby girls on a Thursday night. Put her in her enclosure and left her alone. Fed her on Sunday, since it was her normal feed day and she did fine.

I feed on Sundays, and whenever I get a new addition I just offer food on the first Sunday I have them...sometimes that means I only have them for a day or two before offering food but I've never had any issues doing it that way. They either eat or they don't...if they eat that's great, if they don't they get offered food again the following Sunday. I'd say go ahead and try feeding her.

Re: getting ready for my new girl

ok cuz i really would like to try to stay on whatever schedule she's on now just so that there's less big changes for her to have to adjust to. i want the move to her new home to be the only major change she has to deal with. im doing the same thing with the small rats i have. they're on the same bedding and food they were getting in the store. keeping everything the same is easier for me too.
