Digging

Reba has stopped using her cool hide and now started to dig under her plastic tree to rest completly under it. Is this normal to have BP's dig under for a hide. I thought I read somewhere that they were burrowing animals. Any feedback??

What are you temps/humidity/all the usual necessary info?

She probably felt that her hide was too big .... ball pythons like to cram themselves into the tightest smallest space they can find. It makes them feel secure. Nothing to worry about.

FWIW ... ball pythons are not a burrowing species, but they will live in burrows that other animals (tortises, rodents, etc) have dug out.

That would make since seems I changed her cool hide to a bigger one as "I" felt it was too small. I will replace the big one back with the small one and go from there. Thanks for the help.
