Breeding feeders using tubs
Iv been looking over tub setups for breeding your own feeders. I will eventually move to building a rack if breeding proves worth it.
My question what kind of tubs do you use with a lid since its not going to be in a rack?
All the ones i see at like wal-mart are like this.

All the ones i can find have the raised up edge, now iv read this will allow chewing as the rats would have an edge to chew on. So what could i buy that has like an all flat surface that the rats could not chew on that is a tub. Iv seen the mortar tubs but them seem like their only good for racks.

rack does not need to be 6 tubs high. Build it small and stack them. Racks are best option.

it costs roughly $60 to build a 4 tub rack, that they wont chew through easily, thats easier to feed/water. or you can throw your money away on multiple storage totes when they chew through them time and time again
if you're THAT worried about cost, just use a few glass tanks, if you can get em for cheap

biggest cost is the wire mesh...which you will need anyway.
2 tubs $12
3 2x4's $9
roll of mesh $12
staples and screws $10
$43 or less.

You got any instructions on one? I have no way to cut the 2x4's so i generally have home depot do all my cutting so it helps to know what size pieces i need

I can do a "how to" later complete with sizes. No clue on shipping, I could just make you the "tops" and then you would need the legs and runners.
