What is the longest it has taken one of your males to start breeding?

I'm a bit concerned that my male bee has not yet bred at almost 2 years of age and 1400+ grams. Just wanted to know if anyone has had experience with males who are late bloomers and if this is a fairly normal occurrence. I know its early in the season so i'm not too worried yet but just curious as to how common it is to have a male of this age and size to not breed.

2 boys, both at 3 years and 1500g and 1800g. A pastel, first morph and a spider.

I have a enchi who bred 2 females and produced at 700g the year i bought him.

My male pastel is 3 and around 1500 grams and this is his first season breeding. Last year he had no interest.

3 years, 1200 gram spider... the first year he was at 700 grams, I was hopeful but no action... second year he was at 1000 grams and I was certain he would go but no action... then finally he did his magic in the third year.

Only have 1 male and he went at 600 and 1.5 years old..

I had a het pied not breed until his 3rd winter. He was about 2.5 yrs old.

Sometimes it depends on the female to spark his interest. Also try switching male tubs with the female. Often another male scent can spark a little testosterone. Another tip would be bump up the humidity and drop the nighttime temps as low as 70 degrees. That typically has me finding them locked up before long. Heat back up during the day.

Big Gunns has a male that still hasn't bred and this is his third year he was big enough. Hopefully he will go this year. Big Gunns should of had a Panda Pied by now.

hmm interesting, I was not aware that 2yr males can still be such a crap shoot. I had planned on him being one of my main breeders this year. Now i am worried, but hey, if he doesn't find the ropes within the next month or two looks like i will have to make another addition
