Help!!!

I posted here a few days ago about noticing my female's belly scales turning pink. Everybodyseemed in agreement, preshed condition. Tonight while cleaning her enclosure, the pink is still there (she hasn't shed yet, no blue yet). The problem is that I've noticed blood on the underside of her tail aft of the vent. Doesn't look like the scales are bleeding, looks like a smear from her vent. She also hasn't pooped in over a week but is still eating fine. 1 medium F/T rat per week. Can anybody give me any ideas? She has been locking with my male for a couple of weeks now.

Could this be a sign of gravidity or ovulation?

A little smear of blood from the vent is normal in a shed....and I would guess that it's not all that unusual a result from mating either, if the male gets a little overenthusiastic or something. I'm not a breeder myself and am just guessing on that, but it makes sense to me. The tissue around the vent can be delicate.

As for the pink belly...I've had some stay pink for several days before the snake goes blue.

My girl was pink a week ago before thanksgiving. I went home for the weekend expecting to come back to a shed skin.

I remove her hide... nothing, her skin looks normal. She had skipped her last feeding so I figured I'd try(Since she hadn't eat in two weeks and is only 400g). She ate right away, but as soon as I put her in her tank, she starts roaming around.

5 minutes later, I see her in her rock hide spinning in circles shedding.

1 week pink, no blue eyes, and eating 5 minutes before shedding... sometimes they just like to do things weird.

Looks like a normal shed-pink belly to me. As for the marks on the tail, I'd make sure the enclosure is clean, but beyond that, I'd just wait and see if they shed out before worrying about it.

How often are you bugging her to check her belly and tail? I wonder if frequent handling might slow down the shedding process if the snake is feeling vulnerable? I'm not criticizing....just genuinely curious about any correlation between handling/stress and shed cycles.

I don't handle her other than to clean her cage. That's when I noticed the blood on her tail. I put the male in her enclosure so I don't have to mess her as much.
