7 adult Royals (2.5), 1.0 COS Pastel, 1.0 Enchi, 1.1 Lesser platty Royal python, 1.1 Black pastel Royal python, 0.1 Blue eyed leucistic ( Super lesser), 0.1 Piebald Royal python, 1.0 Sinaloan milk snake 1.0 crested gecko and 1 bad case of ETS. no wife, no surprise.

Yeah it really depends on the species, but most common is 12 hours on, 12 hours off.

A notable exception to the 12/12 cycle is for cycling prior to breeding...but hopefully you're not there yet, right? Other than that, consider where in the world your species is from and what the average day length is for that latitude.

Just to double check.
Are you talking bout lights just for a day/ night cycle or are you talking about lights that are used to help control the temps?
Because if it is the temps that will be affected then we really do need to know which species you are talking about first.
If it is a ball python then you do not want temp drops at night so any lights involved must be of a type that can be left on 24/7 without stressing the animal.
