poss het. pied???????
just curious what everyone thought....sorry for the bad pics.
just have a phone cam. i can get better pix. ill post them tomorrow.
my nephew has a female ball python that is very reduced patterned,
very light, and has little chunks of white coming up from her
belly.

heres a couple more white spots.
yeah looking at the pix, im mad, im gonna go take better pix right now!
but here's her tail shot.
she's got the tracks... cant deny that. and a very clean solid white belly from
snout to vent.

like i said bad pix, im gonna go get my sisters camera and take some better shots,
but the tracks and side markers are there... she's not a ringer though. no signs of ringer-ness... but i may just not fully know what to look for.
any thoughts? ill be posting more pix in a few.

Re: poss het. pied???????
The tracks don't always mean het pied, many normals have them too. Some het pieds don't even have them. Nice looking belly though

Re: poss het. pied???????
Most will have the tracks! Some do, and some don't yet some will prove out. If you got it as a normal, most likely it is, but if you bought it as a het pied it very well could be a het.
The video didn't work, it just got posted as a picture.

Yeah, those are the markers. If it were a male, I'd actually put money on it being het pied, since a lot of breeders these days sell their het and poss. het males as "normals".
But they don't usually lose track of their poss het females. (... is your nephew very sure it's a female?)
If you're looking for an excuse to buy a pied or 100% het, I say go for it. But I would get her sexed again by an experienced herp vet before you start shopping for potential mates.
