    Carpet Python Morphs

I would like guidance on where to go to learn the morphs of the Carpet Pythons. I know a few different ones but would like to know the history and exactly what the morphs are. If its easier to post what you know than by all means please do. Thank you in advance

http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...+python+morphs - thread a while back asking just about the same question

http://www.moreliapythons.com/forums/ - forum specific to genus Morelia, which contains all the carpet pythons

Jaguar - incomplete dominant (homozygous lethal), neurological impairments associated with this trait

T negative albinism - simple recessive

    granite - simple recessive

zebra - incomplete dominant, patternless homozygotes

tiger - polygenetic line-bred trait causing lateral striping. "Super tigers" are not homozygotes, but merely "really good looking" animals.

Ok I have done some research in my off time thats available and learn the morphs are for different subspecies. I have a Coastal Carpet Female and was wondering the views on breeding the subspecies of others? I know people do it and it makes following carpet pythons a bit confusing with the % of the sub specie the snake is. For exampla the Jaguar is a Coastal Carpet morph but breeders do breed it with jungle which would make the babies 50% coastal and 50% jungle if they are jaguar or not. Isnt it best not took mix the lines of the species?

just like the hybrid debate, some people are purists, but most don't care. you will get all sorts of opinions but majority just want nice looking animals, regardless of the subspecies, just make sure you let people know what they are and you can't go wrong. the highest yellow animal I ever saw was a diamond jungle jag, so very mixed animal
