Just a couple breeding questions.
I have a small collection in which I have two males and two female that are breeding this season. My questions are:
1) How many times do you pair up your snakes up?
2) When do you return to normal heat?
thanks,
Dave

I pair mine up on a 3 and 3 schedule. I put them together for 3 days, and separate for 3 days. Sometimes its off by a few days like 4 days together and 7 days apart, but for the most part, it is 3 and 3.
Also, I do not cool, so I don't ever have to bring them up to normal temp. The natural dip in temperature during the Fall and Winter here is enough of a cool for me. I've already seen 2 locks from the same female. I'm hoping she goes this year! *fingers crossed*

Re: Just a couple breeding questions.
Females get bred about once a month.
Females get heat after they have a prelay shed.

So you don't do the 3 on and 3 off schedule? You just pair them up once or so a month?
Oh by the way, I saw your Genetic Stripe male some where, and that thing is amazing!
thanks,
Dave

Typically after they ovulate the males lose interest and won't lock up any more.

No...Yes...Some females only get bred a few times and lay perfect clutches.
Thanks!
