Things that cause regurgitation?

Today my BP ate for the first time in the 2 weeks i have had him and i was wondering what things can cause him to spit his food back out?

I am asking this because his humidity drops below 50% sometimes and i gotta fill his water dish so ill be in his tank a little bit but i wont be touching him.

stress and scaring ur snake can cause him to regurge. also internal parasites, improper heating which doesnt allow proper digestion. too big of a meal. if he ate give him a couple days to digest, i usually try to get everything clean and the husbandry perfect the day before feeding so i usually dont even have to go near them for a couple days

Going into the enclosure to add a little water to the bowl shouldn't cause an issue...just be quick and quiet about it. BUT...it also won't hurt if the humidity drops into the 40s for a day or two if you want to just leave him alone.

Stress, URI's, off husbandry, handeling to soon after eating, parasites, etc. My big boy regurged about a year ago it was because of parasites.

If all your planning on doing is putting some water in you will not have an issue. Ball pythons are more hardy than you think. I would not recommend handling him for 15 minutes after he eats but even if you simpy had to pick him up for a minute he probably isnt going to regurge.

And biggest for reacquiring regurges is not giving the proper 2-3 weeks between regurge for proper recoup.

After feeding a couple days ago I had my ball out playing with him for about 2 hours. I didn't know at that time that I shouldn't. Regardless, it didn't seem to bother him even though I pulled him out right after he swallowed the mouse.

Gentle handling after feeding wont cause regurgitation at all. Ive fed snakes and 5 mins later they drop a duce in the cage. Your perfectly find moving them around if needed, just dont be rough.

I usually give mine at least 24 hours before I disturb her, she always spends time in her hide after eating anyways.

My snake does this as well. He doesn't move around like he used to, when he went without eating for awhile, but I think that may be due to the fact that he's eating again and he's just relaxing letting his body adjust to eating again. I do kinda miss his exploring though .
