My snake sneezes
The male which has not been paired this year has been sneezing a few times per day. I have cranked the temp up in his enclosure and isolated him to a different room in the house. I have also visually examined the inside of his mouth. No mucus or parasites are evident. Can anybody lend me a hand with this? Should I take him to a vet or try to wait it out with raised temps?

Re: My snake sneezes
The only time I have ever heard anything that resembled a sneeze it was a respitory. Keep an eye on him with the raised temps and increase the humidity. If you didnt notice any mucus or bubbles and it is fairly early the temps and humidity should kick it.
You did the right thing by QTin him. Has he stopped feeding or seem lethargic?

Not lethargic, just went through a shed 2 days ago. Eating wonderfully. Just every once in a while a couple times per day he will make a weird sound like a sneeze or a loud hiss. Humidity in his enclosure is around 60%. can't figure out to get it any higher.

Well my snakes do the same thing, but they are farting. If i check there tub afterward, there is usually a gigantic poop waiting for me. Also i find they fart more right around a shed. My snakes all fart honestly, but i have never heard them sneeze. The fart sounds like a loud hiss or wind escaping. Do you think this might be what it is instead?

Steveboos - I am having the same thing happen to me. We just got a new BP from a reputable pet store (the guys loves his snakes and has a 15' albino bermese that he adores) and only in the last two to three days have I heard what I thought was a sneeze, but actually, it sounds more like someone quickly letting some air out of a tire. I also noticed today that his belly is super pink. I've never seen my other two BP's have pink bellies when they shed, but after reading some posts, that seems to be the norm. His eye covers are wrinkled, and I've never seen that happen first either. Oh, and I added a handfull of damp moss to the hot corner of the tank tonight and this dude dashed for the moss, laid in it for a few minutes, then came out.
You seem to have quite a bit of experience with snakes - what do you think? He's not lathargic at all, is happy to socialize, and just ate last weekend. Humidity is
Thanks in advance!

Re: My snake sneezes
I know this is weird, but he could have stuck shed in his nose. My snake makes a sneezing noise if my hair gets in his nose, lol. Just keep a good eye on him.
