New Red Tegu!! Yay!! She's been buried for 2 days, boo!

Hey Everyone! We just picked up a little female Red Tegu this week. Oh man she is just a little sweetheart. She is a rescue, she is missing a few toes from not shedding properly when she was younger. She is very social and asks to be let out. So, after a couple days of having her she has buried herself in the substrate and has not emerged for 2 days. Do I need to worry? Has she decided to hibernate? Love the website.

I would not worry since the majority of tegus burmate this time of year. About once a week I wake my tegu up and put her in the basking spot. She gets pretty active and will sometimes eat. So if you get too worried just wake up the tegu and put it in some heat! Congrats, Reds are lovely.
