    a newer carpet?

for the cage lol.. im looking for a better looking substrate for my carpet "saphire's" cage. aspen worked and shes on paper towels right now. but i was thinking useing something like a sphagnum moss. any ideas on that since it would boost the humidity with a dailing spritzing. i dont wanna send the humidty through the roof but think it would be a good looking substrate other then the typical coca fibers

i cant think of any ill-effects but maby yall know some i dont. thanks for the help

For my 7' carpet, I use newspaper, humidity is maintained by having a large enough water tub. I just use a really big tupperware-type tub for a water source.

For my half-year-olds, I have them in planted vivariums (2' tall glass exo terras). I use a layer of hydroton covered by non-rusting window screen mesh for drainage, with multiple inches of a terrarium substrate from Josh's frogs (the Atlanta Botanical Gardens mix).

Sphagnum moss would be fine it might just cost more. Also it does hold humidity a lot better so you wouldn't want to mist as much.
