Snake blowing in my ear?

So as I'm sitting here, my snake is around my neck and has her head up by my ear. Every now and then, she'll kind of blow in my ear. It doesn't sound like weezing or anything, just a sudden forceful exhale.

I've also noticed that rather than inhaling then exhaling, she inhales, holds her breath a while, then exhales and inhales immediately again.

Is this something I should be worried about? I've never had to deal with an RI before so I'm not sure of the signs. Other than this, she seems perfectly fine and just ate a few days ago with no issues.

well the sudden exhale of lots o air is more like clearing her nostrils. unless a bunch of crud comes out, then you may have an issue.

second, when they hold their breath, look close enough and they realy aren't,
they freeze like waiting for something to happen,

like a pause to observe their surroundings.

Mine does that occasionally...could be wrong, but I generally take it he's irritated with me or something (not sure if snakes can be annoyed ). Never seen any ill effects accompany the blowing though.

When they start a shed cycle the skin can become loose in the nostrils and make a slight whistling heavy breathing noise

Alot of times they will breathe heavier when being handled because they are using their muscles to hold on to your arm, neck, etc...

Thanks all, she hasn't started showing any of the signs of shedding, but I'm pretty sure we're not far off from the next one, and yeah, the breathing while holding on thing makes sense.
