so quick question for the Pros
ok my three young snakes suish and inadu being only half and inch difference in lengeth (inadu smaller) and then egg....well I noticed todonight holding inadu is like holding a retic as far as texture goes.....I compared her scales to egg's scales they're exactly the same size but she's more than double his size and older....(inadu was also the $35 pet shop pick up will post pics later fighting kids on bed time) is this at all normal? Her coloring is odd anyways and well when I post pics I'll post a few old ones two for comparison but just curious on thoughts

I have noticed two things that seem to result in a difference of scale texture.
First: certain morphs seem to have extremely smooth and shiny scales. In fact, I often compare the scales of my black pastels to my retic. I have my noticed this with black pastels, albinos (for the albinos I attribute it to the lack of melanin softening their scales), clowns and pieds
2nd: Rate of growth in the first year, some of the snakes that I fed a bit more often as babies have thicker, rougher scales. Those that were bad feeders, or were kept on a less intensive feeding regime tend to have smoother scales.
If Inadu spent a good amount of time in a pet store, I would guess she was fed irregularly, or smaller meals and that could cause her scales to be a bit smoother, IMO.

From my understanding the shipment of babies Inadu was in hadn't been there but at most four days...she was the scrawny one of the bunch and the only one with super unique pattern. she is eating a sub adult mouse a week sometimes a snack on the side if Egg doesn't eat his fuzzy/hopper...it's rotated between her and squishy. another difference in her I have noticed is she keeps the triangle shape unlike egg or squish who have the roundness...smaller meals more often she snubs at and will not eat more than once a week the first pictures I attempted to take of the three together she was hunting Egg so I took what I could while she wanted to check out the camera and not him...still puzzled by her tude towards him but they're not kept together anyways....I will get better pics up if there are any imparticular that would be of help just let me know
