I've said it before, and I'll say it again: for those that say boas can't make good pets, they need to meet this ol' girl.
We chilled out on the couch together on Saturday:
For those of you that don't know her story, this is Kinky (aka Kinkers). Yes, she is kinked, quite badly. It starts out with her jaw and goes all the way down her spine to the tip of her tail. I adopted her as an adult boa---no idea how old she is---and have had her for the last seven years. In that time she has eaten, pooed, etc like a champ. And she is also one of the sweetest tempered critters I've ever had the pleasure of keeping.
I've been a little worried about her lately... she hasn't eaten in about two months. She also doesn't seem to be moving as easily as she used to, either---though she never did move quite like a normal snake. She usually slows down during the winter, and I'm hoping that's what this is. I love this girl SO much!!!
She basically just put her head on my knee and went to sleep:
She's such a beautiful, sweet big girl:
Hope you like.
