    Shed or RI?

I got my baby KSB out today and over the past few days I noticed he was in shed. However, today when I got him out I noticed that it looks like he has tried to shed as it looks a bit loose right on the tip of the nose. However, he keeps opening one side of his mouth like he is re-adjusting his jaws after eating. I didn't hear any wheezing or any mucus around the mouth but his recurring mouth opening has me concerned that perhaps he has gotten an RI. His temps are ok but I'm afraid the ambient temps have been too low. So just in case I've put in an additional heater to bump up ambient temps in the room.

    Symptoms-

I looked at his nose and it looks like there may be some loose shed there...perhaps that is the problem.

He opens his mouth every 20-45 seconds on one side.

I noticed "puffing" around what I'd call the throat area.

Lethargy (could be a symptom of both)

Hasn't fed for me yet but again, could be a symptom of both.

    What I've done-

Put in a coco-hut to give him something rough to help start the shed
Bump up ambient temps in the room.

I'll keep a check out for any bubbles but I'm hoping the lil guy pulls through because I've only had him for a couple of weeks.

His temps (91-94 warm side, 70-74 cool side) I'm assuming my cool side may be too cool.

I would wait a couple days to see if it is just him trying to get the skin to slid off or if it does continue to go downhill. I would just watch him very closely over the next couple days.

I'm going to continue with higher room temps (try to keep it closer to 80 than 70) just incase it is a temp problem to help boost immunity. I just got him back out...I hear no wheezing and as of now he is no longer opening his mouth.
