First lock of the season!
My first lock of the season, and surprisingly it's not ball pythons... it's my spotteds! Do they still retain until spring-ish like BPs, or does it happen faster than that? Can't wait to see these babies!
Here's the lock:

This is the female, Izzy...

And the male, Johnny...

To "lock" means to copulate by wrapping their tails together... in other words, they're making whoopie. The ball pythons can stay "locked" for 24-48 hours without even moving, but my spotteds let go after a few hours (not sure if that's typical or not).
