    Mohave Vs. Lessers

What is the difference between a Mohave and a Lesser? I understand that the Lesser is lighter colored than the Mojave, but when you breed the two together you can still get Blue Eyed Lucys. I am just curious because one of the two Mojaves I got is super light so it got me thinking.

The differenace between a Mojave and a Lesser should be quite easy to determine just by looking at the two together. The Mojave has much more black, with yellows and white. While the Lessers are very light in color with little black on them ... so it should be pretty simple.

You cannot get BELs by breeding a Lesser and Mojave, if you pair up Mojave to another Mojave you will get BELs.

    This is my mojave

This is a lesser, got this off of google.. if its someones i apologize lol

You can absolutely pair a lesser and Mojave to get a very while BEL. Mojo x Mojo makes a much less white version with some nice subtle coloration.

Thankyou for all the replies. I was just curious because I just had two Mohaves hatch. One is way lighter than the other.

Light or dark...they both look great! I am hoping to pick up a new Mojave male shortly. Can't wait!

You actually get a better looking Bel when you breed these two together. Here is are a couple pictures I took of a Lesser x Mojave at a show.

The Lesser/Mojave BEL babies are gorgeous. I can definitely see the difference between them and the Mohave/Mohave Bels... I would be happy producing either one, but I may have to add a Lesser female to my projects.
