How to heat tub

Hey guys... I just transferred my snake into his final home (a 41qt tub). But I can't get the heat right...

The heat pad I have now is a little small for the tub. If i get the next size up will it really make that much of a difference? I have a lamp like 10 inches about the tub now but its still not hot enough. Any ideas?

Heat mat + t-stat or heat tape + t-stat, BP really benefit from belly heat and additionally I would stay away from lights when using a tub, even if 10 inches away something could happen it could be tips over and it would be a disaster.

For a 41 quarts tub a 6x11 or 11x11 will do just fine.

Okay... I have a thermostat already but would you really not need to use one with these like it says?

Even with those type of heat pads you will need to use a t-stat I have several of those myself and they will reach over 110 degrees if not controlled.
