Acts hungry but wont follow through

So my normal boy is suddenly not eating. Havent been real concerned because it happens. He was 1100g.

Three weeks ago he was breeding with my female, they were together for three days. Separated them and put her on rest. He was only in for just one attempt. Tried to feed him after that and he wouldnt eat. No biggie - tried again the next day with mice because sometimes he just isnt into rats, no idea why. He ate 3 mice and was done. Wasnt as much as i wanted, but he ate so I was happy. Come up to next feeding a week later, no go on the rat. Tried again with mice and no go. He would go up to them like he was interested but turn away at the last second. No biggie - tried again the following week - still we have no go. This time he wasnt as interested as last time but still did go up to the mouse.

Just wondering if this is a sign of anything?

Temps are spot on - nothing has changed for him other than his first breeding attempt. he is now down to 980g and a touch worried but still letting him have his time.
