Care for an ill ball

My new girl I picked up a couple days ago seems a bit sick.

She has two retained eye caps (I'm waiting for her next shed before I try to help her get them off). She also has some of what looks like retained shed on her nose. Her scales feel kind of dry and gritty compared to my RTB as well. Apparently the original owner kept her on a heat pad IN the cage(with no thermostat) and thankfully she didn't get burned.

The thing that worries me is her mouth. I'm trying my best to not mess with her since she still stressed so from visual oberservation the front of her mouth looks like she's holding it slightly open. She also has what looks like brown stuff, dry not wet, along the inside of her lips and in the corners of her mouth. It may be because of the bedding she is on. I don't think she has mouth rot and when I looked in her mouth from what I could see it looked normal. Just from looking at her face something just looks not quite right.

I'm trying to get her humidity up now and I gave her a humidity box as well. Is there anything else I should do? I'd like to try to make her comfortable now for sure and maybe help her heal on her own before taking her to a vet. Our nearest reptile vet is 2 hrs. away.

for the bad shed just make sure you temps and humiddity are right and hopefully it will come off in the next shed. you can remove the eye caps but ive never had to do it so someone else will have to advise for that. the mouth could be mouth rot you should post some pics if you can.

I think I would give the snake a really good soak. This could address many of the items you've listed. A little warm water in the bath tub and 15-20 minutes later, let the snake crawl through your hands. Ideally, if you have any latex gloves, let the snake crawl through your hands while wearing them.

They really help taking off a bad shed.

Or you can place the snake into a cotton pillow case immediately after coming out of the soak. Tie it off and put the snake back into its enclosure. You can leave the snake in the pillow case overnight. This could in fact help remove the retained eye caps.
