Killed the mouse but did not eat it

I have been trying to feed my 2010 babies twice a week as instructed but it is not going well and I think I may switch back to once per week. Last feeding my male refused his mouse but took one this feeding. Last feeding the female took the mouse but this feeding killed it but did not eat it. I feel bad because I am wasting these mice. I left the dead mouse in the cage with her but don't think she will eat it. As soon as she saw it she grabbed it and killed it. She drug it around for a miniute then dropped it. A few min later she grabbed it again but put it back down. Now she is uninterested in it all together. Maybe every 5 days is just too much?

Put the dead mouse in a zip lock bag and freeze it. Use it next feeding day
